Ondexx 5.1 | What’s new for Admin and Editors

The Red Wolf team is excited to present Ondexx 5.1!

This release primarily features behind-the-scenes changes, new workflows, and new reports.

Below you will find a list of highlights for Editors and Administrators.

Page Attachments

Ondexx 5.1 introduces Page Attachments, a new built-in page component. This is Ondexx’s answer to a question we’ve heard voiced by all our users, and even ourselves: how can we prevent human error during file management across a large number of users and files?

The Page Attachments page component allows a dynamic list of files to be managed within a page. These files can then be viewed, uploaded, and managed within that page. Using three new attachment-specific rights in combination with page viewing permissions, it is simple to control who is able to manage files and where, without giving them full access to file system.

The very nature of Page Attachments prevents human error with respect to mistakenly moving files and folders, making unneeded duplicates of files, and accessing files and folders without permission.

Other New Features

    • Used to further track and classify why revisions were made to pages
    • Allows new Page Versions to be given a “Version-Type” from an Admin-created list, specifying what kind of changes were made
    • These can be audited with three new Page Life Cycle Activity reports.
    • For more information, refer to this help article: Using Page Version Classification
  • The instance-wide Content Elements editor has been redesigned, with support for Display Domains and Languages

  • Three new Page Life Cycle Activity Reports have been added.
