Introduction
Ondexx uses the Super Administrator global right to denote a user who has complete access to an instance, including all available rights and permissions in all Sites.
Global rights differ from Site rights in that they are assigned directly to a user’s account.
Super Admin Right Details
Super Administrators gain a variety of instance-wide rights and permissions. These include:
- Automatic access to all available sites.
- Unrestricted access to all administrative menus, files, and pages
- Access to all Configuration menus
- Edit instance settings
- Edit instance content elements
- Edit custom attributes
- Manage instance Single Sign-On configuration
- Edit instance email templates
- Create special interstitial announcements
- Access to the User Management Console
- View all users within entire instance
- Edit user profiles, including Email Address and Employee IDs
- Deactivate user accounts in bulk
The Super Administrator right also supersedes all other rights and permissions. Any assigned rights or permissions at the site level will not affect a Super Admin.
Assigning the Super Admin Global Right
The Super Administrator right can only be assigned by other Super Administrators.
- Navigate to the profile of the user you wish to change. This can be done in a site-based user menu (i.e. Active Users…), or the User Management Console.
- Scroll to the section marked System-Wide Rights. Here you can modify a user’s instance-level rights.
- Under System Administration, check the box labeled Super-Administrator.
- At the bottom or top of the page, click Update Profile.
- The selected user now has the Super Admin global right.
