Embedded E-Learning Courses Overview

Introduction

The Embedded E-Learning Course is a Page Component that allows Embedded Courses to be added to Ondexx pages. Unlike the Document Viewer, these are managed in the Embedded Course Manager, rather than the File Manager.

Embedded Courses are hosted within a site, in isolation. Actions in one course will not affect actions in another.

Note: For an end user to view an Embedded Course, it must be added to a page.

Adding Embedded E-Learning Courses to a Site

Any User with the Edit Pages Right has the ability to Upload an Embedded Course to that site.

1. From the Add New dropdown, select “Course”
2. Enter the Display Title of your course, and filename of your start file.
3. Check the box beside “Make the Course available…” to enable its addition to pages.
4. Click SAVE at the bottom of the page.
5. Click Select a folder, and select the folder on your computer that contains your Course.
6. Click SAVE at the bottom of the page.

Adding Embedded E-Learning Courses to Pages

1. Ensure the Embedded Course you wish to add to a page has been added to your site.
2. Navigate to the Editable Draft of the Page you wish to add an Embedded Course to.
3. Navigate to the Components tab.
4. Select and add the EMBEDDED E-LEARNING COURSE component to your page.
5. Save your progress.
6. Navigate to the Content tab, and select the EMBEDDED E-LEARNING COURSE component.
7. Select the Embedded Course you want to add from the drop down menu. The details of the Course will appear.
8. Save your progress. Your Embedded Course has been added to the page.
